82nd Oscars

So here I was sitting comfortably watching the 82nd Academy Awards on the TV. Nicely and relaxing enjoying some of the movies being presented and all, hoping to get some idea of what movies to try to be watching when I get around to watching movies again. Low and Behold I had my gut wrenched ... yes this is true in the middle of all this enjoyment I was experiencing utter disgust. With the category of featured Documentary the movie the Cove won an Oscar. I was sitting here amazed as I could not and can not understand how a movie about hunting/killing dolphins qualifies for a reward of the alleged prestige of the Academy Awards. What can such a movie win an award for, oh I don't know maybe the delusion of contemporary people in the spot light, the documentary was made or inspired by an idea of the trainer of the dolphins used in the movie flipper - he is said to have a change of heart. The documentary should maybe be a candidate for an award for a emerging delusional human race, lacking the appreciation of cultural diversity and the significant differences that are to be found around the world - and enriches this world of ours. Keep in mind I write this during breaks as the Awards move on, also I am an avid supporter of the right to hunt and kill animals within the reasons of their sustainability.

And still pissed that an award would go to such a movie ... best be signing off now
